Are you ready for the animated version of Charlie Chaplin?

Fans are eagerly waiting to watch the iconic bowler-hatted vagabond character on small screen.

Are you ready for the animated version of Charlie Chaplin?

The audience is mature and is ready to experiment with new ideas. What could be more entertaining than Charlie Chaplin reloaded? But it’s still to be seen, if they can recreate the same humour, satire and slapstick comedy. Personally I’m definitely looking forward to watching the animated version of Charlie Chaplin. Whether audiences get hooked on to it depends on their first experience.

Charlie Chaplin coming back to life as a cartoon character seems exciting. It’s interesting to see that that it will be coming alive via an Indian-French collaboration, that will see the legendary British comedian featured in an animated television series. But it’s a big risk to recreate a comedian that too for an animated television series. Hopefully it will be as entertaining as the original.         —Sneha Gupta

Who wouldn’t want to watch the vagabond character with a moustache and cane in an animated series? With movies like Avtaar capturing the imagination of people and becoming a huge hit, animation and special effects have become a great trend in the market. People of all ages look forward to watching it on small or big screen. It will be great to watch the same character who will be modified and have a retro feel and look to it. Anything that is funny is always welcome rather than something that is melodramatic and unrealistic.

I’m sceptical and eager to watch the animated series. This is because, we have grown on watching the silent character in some favourite works like ‘The Kid’ and ‘City Lights’. Today everyone is experimenting with something tested before. But a majority will be having great expectations while watching. Children will enjoy it thoroughly since animation works well with them.                            —Sailee Pagnis

I want to see whether the modern animators and movie makers will live up to the original format of the person who made the whole world laugh with plain gestures and action. The silent era had a world wide appeal because gestures and actions don’t have any language barriers. Hopefully, the animation series will live up to the same craze and continue to delight many fans.     —Mithlesh Thukral
