Karnataka high court justice DV Shylendra Kumar has called the chief justice of India

Karnataka high court justice DV Shylendra Kumar has, on his blog, questioned the moral authority of the chief justice of India, calling him "a serpent without fangs".

Kumar was the first high court judge in the country to have questioned the chief justice's stand on the issue of declaration of judges' assets.

Earlier this month he urged PD Dinakaran, chief justice of the Karnataka high court, to proceed on leave following the initiation of impeachment proceedings against him.

Kumar said he is angered with the Dinakaran episode which shows that an "errant judge does not respect moral authority and the so-called authority of the CJI as the figurehead of the judiciary has no effect on him."

Do you agree with justice Kumar? Is his harsh criticism of the chief justice of India justified?
