Microsoft took the opportunity during their E3 2016 show to release the trailer for the new co-op mode of Gears of War 4.
It was used to introduce Xbox's Play Anywhere scheme, which provides ownership on both Xbox One and Windows 10, as well as -- in this instance at least -- cross-platform multiplayer.
Gears of War 4 launches October 2016. Studio head Rod Fergusson and voice actress Laura Bailey (also of Uncharted 4 and Avengers Assemble) show off part of a co-op mission.
There's also a themed controller as well as a new range of US $79.99 custom colour controllers.
