Track your health with Samsung's Galaxy S4

At a time when smartphones are being held responsible for a number of lifestyle diseases like dry eyes and turtle neck syndrome, Samsung's latest flagship phone Galaxy S4 has an app that can actually be good for your health.

The phone was globally launched at Radio City Music Hall in New York on March 14.

The feature-packed phone has a built-in pedometer to count your steps and an app called S Health.

This app will not only act as your personal fitness tracker, but will also help you maintain a food diary.

With this app, you can take photographs of your meals every day to keep tabs on your calories and eating habits.

Besides this app, Samsung also offers a fitness bracelet called the S Band, a digital scale and fitness belt to measure pulse, glucose levels, blood pressure and weight for those who are health conscious.

According to a report in Mashable, the S Band is very much alike to a Nike Fuelband. However, the S Band can be used even if you do not want to carry your phone along while exercising. The data recorded on the band can later be transferred to the phone.

With a feature like this, Samsung's Galaxy S4 is likely to do well in the health market.
