The war of words between the Congress and the BJP has escalated with both parties taking potshots at the other's prime ministerial candidates.

LK Advani has repeatedly described Manmohan Singh as India's weakest prime minister.An uncharacteristically aggressive and confident Singh, in turn, has ripped into Advani, calling him a loudmouth and India's weakest home minister and saying his sole contribution has been his prominent role in the destruction of the Babri Masjid.
