Now, info on secondary schools in Maharashtra only a click away

Now, no secondary schools in the state can hide any information from parents or students. Thanks to the digitilisation plan of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA), information about the schools will be only a click away.

Speaking to DNA, consultant to state education department and former director of the department, SG Khatib said, “For the last three years, we have been collecting and re-checking information of schools in state. The report card of every school will be a click away. If we go to the website and select a particular school, we will get complete information about the school like furniture, number of students, teachers and other staff,” he said.

There are 20,000 secondary schools in the state with a total of 34,39,768 students. “We have been training teachers to upload  information since three years. Our education officers are cross-checking information filled in by schools. After a month, once the report card is available online, we are 100% sure of its authenticity,” Khatib said.
