Industrialist and MP Rahul Bajaj’s wife Rupa died of prolonged illness at a hospital in Germany on Thursday night.
Seventy-four-year-old Rupa is survived by two sons, Rajiv and Sanjiv, and daughter Sunaina Kejriwall. Rupa, who hailed from Wardha, married Rahul in Mumbai in 1961. They lived in their bungalow at Akurdi for quite some time.
In December 2011, the couple had celebrated the golden jubilee of their wedding
anniversary.
Rupa will be flown to the city by a special aircraft from Germany. The last rites will be performed at Vaikunth Crematorium on Friday at 5 pm, according to sources.
