A vrooming success

The seventh edition of the dna Auto Show opened to an enthusiastic audience at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Vashi, on May 23 and 24, 2015. Both days witnessed an overwhelming response from auto lovers across Mumbai. The seventh edition, inaugurated by award-winning composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan, saw a footfall of 10,000+ visitors at the event, turning it into a grand success.
The brands that participated in the Auto Show ranged from BMW, Mini Cooper, Jaguar, Range Rover, Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Renault, Chevrolet, Toyota and Volkswagen. Amongst the motorbikes, the brands that made their presence felt were Ducati, Harley Davidson, Triumph, DSK Benelli and DSK Hyosung. Apart from cars and motorbikes, several accessories brands also participated in the event.
A major highlight of the Auto Show was two vintage models on display—the 1933 Hudson Phaeton seven-seater Convertible, which happens to be the only vintage car in the world and the Buick 1947.
The mega event also saw other celebrities visiting the show and showing a keen interest in the models displayed. Former Big Boss participant Elli Avram and actor Jay Bhanushali visited the show on both days. Similar to the event’s previous editions, this year too, dna encouraged participation from colleges willing to showcase their projects. This year, students from IIT Mumbai and VJTI Institute presented prototypes of automobiles designed by their team.
A complete family experience, the event offered something for everyone. Hourly contests and other engaging activities drew a cheering response from the crowd. While the Auto Show had Zee 24 Taas as its official TV partner, it was covered extensively on both Zee 24 Taas and Zee Business.
