These are mere allegations. There is no truth in them.
Why are slums being allowed to mushroom near libraries and gyms?
The slums were razed 15 days ago. I had taken up the issue a week ago. Given the complaint, I will take up the matter again.
What care is being taken to address problems of drainage?
At Gavan Pada and Anand Nagar, drainage issues have been resolved to a large extent.

Why haven’t potholes been filled after monsoon?
This issue is being resolved by the ward office.
The non-functional streetlights have given rise to the fear this could embolden criminals. Why have you not addressed this?
I have taken up the matter with the state electricity board. Most streetlights are working. About criminal activities, I have informed the Mulund police station and the beat office to conduct more patrols.

Why is there no students guidance centre under the education programme?
The municipal corporation has no provision for such arrangements. It’s a good suggestion and can be implemented.
Why are water pipelines in Indira Nagar in a bad state?
Indira Nagar is densely populated with residences built quite close to each other, leaving minimal space to provide adequate civic facilities. At several places, old pipelines have been replaced. Illegal water connection is a concern.
Why are drainage and public toilets not kept clean?
New toilets are provided with the prescribed facilities. Factors like population, developers diverting major nullahs for the convenience of their projects, adequate space for laying down sewer lines and stalled slum rehabilitation projects are to be viewed.
