US dollar appreciates against rupee at Rs45.22

The US dollar appreciated against the rupee at Rs45.22/23 per dollar but the Pound sterling eased to Rs72.95/97 per pound at the close. of the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market (Forex) here today.
