Small sugar prices eased at the Vashi wholesale market here today on subdued offtake from retailers amidst ample supply positions.
Meanwhile, medium sugar variety prices closed stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Small sugar (S-30) declined by Rs5/6 per quintal to Rs2,751/2,800 from last weekend's closing level of Rs2,756/2,806.
The following are today's closing rates per quintal, with the previous rates in brackets: Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs2,751/2,800 (Rs2,756/2,806) and Medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs2,801/2,911 (Rs2,801/2,911).
