BANGALORE: The Simpsons fans in the country can now bring the family home with Star Fox all set to launch an apparel line featuring characters from the popular animated sitcom.

The apparel line, to be launched soon, will sport some of the most lovable characters America's longest running animated programme, including Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

The apparel line would be brought out by the Canadian Trio group, which has tied up with Star Fox Licensing to merchandise the product.

Star Fox Licensing is a partnership between 2Oth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising and Star India.

"The focus will be on lounge and sleep wear", Star India Manager (Creative and Product Development, Licensing and Merchandising) Rosy George said.

The apparel line would comprise T-shirts, pants, mainly knitted wear, she said.

This lounge wear would be among the first of the products under the Simpsons line to be brought to India and plans were afoot to bring other products as well.

"Talks are on to bring to India the other products available in the US and elsewhere", she said.

The Simpson range of products currently available in the US include games, animated talking pens, fancy cups, toys and the apparel line.

A collector's item comprising miniature sculptures, crafted by Kenyan craftsmen, is available only on the net.

The Simpsons is an Emmy award winning animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox TV network. It is a satirical parody of the 'Middle American' lifestyle epitomised by the family.
