Silver up Rs400 to Rs44,800/kg, gold rises marginally

Silver rose further by Rs400 to Rs44,800 per kg on the bullion market today on increased offtake by industrial units and coin makers, while gold added Rs10 to Rs20,405 per 10 grams on pick up in local demand.

Silver ready strenthened further by Rs40O to Rs44,800 per kg and weekly-based delivery by Rs430 to Rs44,530 per kg. Silver coins also gained Rs20O to Rs48,700 for buying and Rs48,800 for selling of 100 pieces.

Gold of 99.9 and 99.5% purity added another Rs10 each to Rs20,405 and Rs20,285 per 10 grams, respectively. The metal had gained Rs295 in the previous session.

Sovereign, continued to be asked around previous level of Rs16,800 per piece of eight grams in restricted buying activity.
