Rural Electrification Corp (REC) has raised the coupon rate on its planned bond issue to raise at least Rs5 billion to 8.80% from 8.70%, AK Agarwal, general manager, finance, said.
The bidding for the bond issue is curently underway and bidders now will have to quote swap rates based on a one-year annualised Reuters benchmark fixing for 10-year bonds carrying a coupon rate of 8.80%.
