The Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) on Wednesday said that it has started commercial operations of the Trichy-Dindigul corridor in Tamil Nadu with toll collection beginning tonight.

RInfra had won the four-laning project on the Trichy-Dindigul section under the National Highways Development Programme (NHDP).

The Rs600-crore 90-km long project is executed on build operate transfer basis and has a concession period of 30 years.

The project connects cities like Manaparai, Vaiyampatty, Ayyalur, Vadamadurai and Dindigul and further to Kodaikanal station, RInfra chief executive and whole-time director Lalit Jalan said.

RInfra has emerged as the largest concessionaire of NHAI with 11 road projects totaling 970 km worth over Rs12,000 crore.
