Reliance Mediaworks, In-Three in 3D film pact

Reliance MediaWorks, previously Adlabs Films, has partnered Los Angeles-based In-Three to set up an India-based facility that will convert 2D films and videos into 3D to tap growing global demand for 3D films.                                           

The partnership is expected to cater to 15-25 feature film projects per year, Reliance Mediaworks said in a statement to the NSE.                                           

Work on the first joint title will commence begining of 2010, it added.                                           

The number of 3D cinema screens worldwide would rise from 2,500 in 2008 to over 7,000 this year and 15,000 by 2013, fuelling demand for 3D films, the company said.
