RBI revises norms for primary dealer investments

Primary dealers in India can invest in bonds with initial maturities of up to one year but such investments should not exceed 10% of their total holdings in non-government securities on an ongoing basis, the Reserve Bank of India said in a statement on Thursday. 

These bonds can be issued by any corporates including non-banking financial firms, the statement from the Reserve Bank of India said.
