Nomura said on Wednesday it had upgraded India's leading mobile services operator, Bharti Airtel, to "buy" from "neutral".
"After being cautious on Bharti since mid-2009, we now think the risk-reward is skewed to the upside," it said in a note.
At 10:32 am (0502 GMT), shares in Bharti were trading 0.7%lower, while the main stock index was barely changed.
