Japanese stocks fell 1.19% in morning trade today, tracking overnight losses on Wall Street where renewed worries about the banking sector weighed on sentiment, dealers said.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange's benchmark Nikkei-225 index dropped 122.61 points to 10,210.78 by the lunch break. The broader Topix index of all first section shares slipped 12.02 points, or 1.32%, to 901.68.
