IFIN opens third international office in Dubai

IL&FS Financial Services (IFIN), the investment-banking arm of the IL&FS Group, today said it has opened its third international office in Dubai, as part of its strategy to create global foot print.
       
IFIN has already opened its offices in London and Singapore and the one at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is the first in the region, the company said in a release issued here.
       
"Looking at the excellent track record in India, we are positive of continuing this trend in Dubai and other international offices as well," IFIN managing director and CEO Ramesh Bawa said.
       
The Dubai operations of IL&FS Financial services will seek to provide a wide range of investment banking services to cater to the needs of Indian and international customers in the Middle Eastern and African markets, he said.
       
"We will be primarily focusing on fund raising for infrastructure projects. But we also provide advisory services on infrastructure financing to all those who approach us. From the Dubai office, we intend to offer advisory services to investors who seek to invest in infrastructure and to those who seek funding for projects," Bawa said.
       
IFIN has a strong presence in domestic financial markets having strong relationships with Indian financial institutions, banks and insurance companies.
