Harley-Davidson begins dealership selection process in Mumbai

Harley-Davidson India today said that it will initiate the selection process for dealerships in Maharashtra, seeking interested parties from Mumbai.

The company will hold dealership camps in the city on October 19 and 20 which will give interested applicants an opportunity to meet with Harley-Davidson's representatives to guide the applicants through the requirements for opening Harley-Davidson dealerships in the region, a company press release said.

The deadline for dealership applications has been extended to November 2, 2009, the company said.

Harley-Davidson is open to receiving indications of interest across all cities in India for future development, the release said.

"We have decided to extend the application deadline keeping the forthcoming festive season in mind. While Punjab, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi are our priorities for opening dealerships in 2010, we are more than happy to consider applications from other locations that make business sense for both the dealer and Harley-Davidson," Harley-Davidson India's Managing Director, Anoop Prakash, said.
