Enhanced plan outlay for WB would usher development: Pranab Mukherjee

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday expressed hope that the enhanced fund allocation by the Planning Commission for West Bengal for 2012-13 would help the state government in its effort to develop several sectors.

"The increased fund will help the state government in taking steps for developing several sectors including health, education and infrastructure," Mukherjee told reporters here.

The 16% rise in plan allocation for the current fiscal against that in previous year was a positive signal, Mukherjee said.
