Bhaskar-DNA awards for public sector

The Bhaskar Group, in association with DNA, will set up the India Pride Awards to honour public sector companies that have done the country proud.

Rating agency ICRA will screen entries by September 5. The shortlist will be voted on by an eminent jury and the awards will be presented at a function in Delhi on September 18.
The nine main award categories are consumer industries, energy & power, financial institutions, heavy industries, metals & minerals, oil & gas, services, social sector and trade.

The jury: chief justice (retd) RC Lahoti as chairman; CP Jain, former NTPC chairman; Uddesh Kohli, former chairman, Power Finance Corporation; UD Choubey, former chairman and director-general, SCOPE; Sanjeev Kotnala, vice-president, Bhaskar Group; and KU Rao, CEO, DNA.
