AT&T, Sprint, Verizon to carry Samsung tablet

Samsung Electronics has struck deals with AT&T Inc, Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel Corp to carry its new tablet computer, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.                                           

Samsung is scheduled to unveil the Galaxy Tab in the US market at an event at New York City's Time Warner Centre on Sept 16, the report said, citing anonymous sources.                                           
 

The Galaxy Tab is essentially a larger version of Samsung's new Galaxy S smartphone, the report said.                                           
 

Samsung representatives were not immediately available for comment outside of regular business hours.                             
 

Verizon Wireless is a venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group Plc.
