Anil Ambani visits Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain on his birthday

The chairman of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG), Anil Ambani today visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, on the occasion of his birthday and sought the blessings of Lord Mahakal.

Anil, along with his son arrived last night at Indore in his private jet and later drove down to Ujjain, about 55km away to take part in the bhasma aarti at the temple, which is the abode of one of the 12 'jyotirlings' in India, official sources said.

Bhasma Aarti is a ritual performed every morning at 0400 hours during which the deity is smeared with the ashes brought from the cremation ground.

After taking part in the hour-long aarti, Anil along with his entourage, left for Indore around 6am.
