Who are the users of mobile biometric visa services and how does it benefit them?

It is like a personalised service that provides chauffeur services. This is specifically aimed at out-of-town applicants who may have to travel to certain cities for their visa application. The details and data of an applicant can be taken at the place of their convenience home, hotel room or any other location of choice, subject to risk assessment, for a fee. The service is available for UK visa applicants in India.
It is mainly used by large groups and HNI and those planning to go for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), film units, college campuses. For example, for a group of 100 employees based in Jamnagar planning to visit the UK will find it tedious to get the visa process done. It is at this stage we can help by offering convenience and get the process done for them for a fee.

How are the safety issues adhered as the information generated from the visa applicants is highly sensitive and open to misuse?

First of all the biometric kit has to be accredited by the mission and is used strictly as per the policy set by the mission. Before opening the kit, our representative gives a call to our office and it's only after getting a nod that the kit gets opened and further data from the applicant is collected. We don't store the data in our system and the entire process is open to audit anytime by the missions.

In the time of rising terrorism, what precautions does the biometric visa industry takes while conducting the visa process?

First of all we do not declare that any visa applicant is a fraud or anti-social. Whether visa should be issued or not to a person is the prerogative of the missions. We only conduct the process and hand over the data to the missions.

How is biometric changing the travel scene?

Earlier there used to be long queues outside of missions for acquiring visas. This has now changed with the queues getting much shorter. With biometric, all the airports will now have your data, so the passenger need not provide all the details again on reaching the destination.
