'Only spiritual support cannot bring you success in life'

The founder and CMD of Elitecore Technologies, Hemal Patel is a strong believer of Sreenathji and follows Morari Bapu's ideals. Patel and his family are settled in the USA. Elitecore has become Gujarat's first IT company to bag Nasscom award, and Patel gives credit to his team, family and hard work. Sharing his spiritual journey with DNA, the 48-year-old man says he has installed a huge statue of Lord Sreenathji at his residence in the US.

I do believe in God and I have deep faith in Lord Sreenathji. So is the case with my family. But spiritual support alone cannot help one succeed in life. In my case, I have to put in a lot of effort as my Janmakshar says that I have to work hard to attain success. If my fortune says that I will not get money without working hard, I have no other option, but to strive harder for it.

Of the 365 days in a year, I spend only 130 to 140 days with my family, the remaining are spent either in India or travelling for business reasons. I grew up in Gujarat and have studied here. For my Masters, I moved to the US and later settled there. Today, both my kids — a 20-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son — are growing up in the US and I think it was a wise decision to raise them there as the standard of education in the US is superior to that in India.

Following my daughter’s advise, I have started reading books, though I don't read spiritual books. I have also started listening to Morari Bapu and have become a huge follower of Bapu. I am impressed with his mantra of 'Looking at everybody with dignity'.I was lucky to meet him once when he had come to the US.

My daughter is currently pursuing international law, while my son may become the successor of my business. But I have kept a condition — I have told them that if they want to enter my company, they will have to complete their education and need to have good knowledge of the industry. Without that, I will not let them in.
