Being the first show stopper is a great high: Bipasha Basu

I was the modern Indian bride at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) and all I can say is that when I get married, I want to look just like the way I looked yesterday.

Rocky gave me a beautiful saree but I have a phobia that I would trip on the ramp. So, wearing a saree just makes that phobia increase because a saree always makes it a little difficult to walk. I feel, ‘what if I fall down in front of so many people who are watching me’. But thankfully I did well.

Kicking off a fashion week and being the first showstopper is a great high. The mood is really upbeat at the fashion week. A successful show to begin with only shows that it would be a great week ahead.

I loved the Indianness at the show. It was a pleasant surprise to see that even when the theme is summer and resort wear, Rocky made Indian wear and experiemented with Indian clothes to suit the theme. The predictable way to go is Western for a summer line.

It was like a wedding on the runway — so many colours, everyone looked so beautiful. The hair and make-up was fab and complemented the outfits very well. I loved the vibes when I walked the ramp and even at the venue.

Rocky had everything in control. I like the concept of the modern bride that the show had. We are open to experiments and we have a whole new perspective about life and things and Rocky brought out today's women to a T. I love the jewellery by Queenie as it totally complimented the outfit. It was brilliant and beautiful.
