RLP, BSP & BVP can consolidate to make an electoral impact: Hanuman Beniwal
Hanuman Beniwal

You have filed your nomination, but you are yet to announce candidates from your party?

Hanuman Beniwal: We are in the process of finalizing our list and a list of around 60 candidates will be announced late Wednesday night. The rest will follow.

You talk of a third front, but there are several separate factions, how can you take on established parties?

We are in the final round of negotiations with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Bharat Vahini party (BVP). I feel that these three parties can consolidate to make an electoral impact. The negotiations will finalise in a day or two and we will announce our candidates in collaboration; by not damaging each other.

But is it not too late?

Even Congress and BJP are yet to announce their candidates so it is hardly late. We are a new party and weighing every option before we announce our candidates.

Whom will you give tickets to?

We will largely give tickets to youth, those who are not associated with other parties and want to make a change. We have got biodatas from all sections of society and women too - all will be given chance. Also many leaders from Congress and BJP who may not get tickets are also in contact with us. You may see some such leaders also fighting on RLP ticket.

You have been talking about a jat CM? Is that a priority for you?

Jats are the largest community and there has not been a chief minister from this community. They have been voting for both Congress and BJP, but none has made a Jat CM. This is a cause of pain for the community.
