3 Rajasthan pupils in top 10 of JEE mains

It was celebration time for Rajasthan’s Parth, Pawan Goyal, and Bhaskar Gupta when they came to know that they have not only cracked the JEE mains but did it with flying colours---with an All India Rank of 3,6 and 7. In conversation with Rajiv Saxena, Parth & Bhaskar share their experiences. Following are the excerpts..........

Parth Lathuria: Regular study is key to success

Q. How many hours you devoted for study?

A: I used to regularly revise every subject after the daily class. Apart from the regular coaching, I used to devote 5-6 hours for studies. Every day I had some subject wise targets that I used to complete. My friend Akash’s mother lived with us, which helped us. My mother also used to visit me from time to time. Now the preparation for JEE-advanced lies ahead.

Q.Your parents are doctor but you opted for engineering, why?

A: I have an inclination towards Maths and i like solving questions. Because of my interest in Maths, my parents asked me to prepare for Engineering Entrance Examination. Physics seems a little tough, but I enjoy studying it.

My  Mother Seema and my father Satish told that the study environment in Kota is somewhat different. Here, the students are given basic human values along with their education. They learn to deal with challenging situations.

Here, they are inspired to be good human being. Apart from this, students come from all over the country and there is a healthy competition and the talent of the student is recognized. From childhood, i was serious for this kind of work.

Q. Apart from studies, what are your hobbies?

A: Apart from studies, I like to watch TV for a while, which usually include watching news and movies. I am also fond of playing TT.

Q. What lies ahead?

A:  I have not thought about future yet. I want to go in the research field. Apart from this, applied Maths is also an option.

Bhaskar: Healthy mind with good result

Q. How did you prepaped to crack JEE?

A: For good studies, it is important to be healthy and it is necessary to take good sleep because a healthy body leads to a healthy mind.I wake up at 7 in the morning and go to sleep at 10 pm and i use to study for 10 to 11 hours a day.

Q. Who is your Idol in your field?

A:  I give my success credit to my coaching institute and my elder sister, Elina Gupta. She is very supportive.

Q. What are your hobbies?

A: I like playing chess and I have participated in the World Youth Chess Championship.I likes watching hollywood movies

Q. How s the aura in Kota?

A: My mother Alpna Gupta is a doctor and she has been living with me in Kota from last one and a half years. The atmosphere of the Kota is very positive, which proves to be good for any student.There are only students and teachers everywhere.

Q. Which is your favourite subject?

A: Maths is my favourite subject. I gave maximum time to maths. It is also quite easy because there is no theory in it, only the equations are solved.

Q. Do you use social media?

A: I only use Whatsapp for asking doubts; I have no account on Facebook. It is not a time waste; social media can be used for studies. You can listen to the lectures of famous teachers of the country on YouTube. Their tips will prove to be helpful for you.
