Watch: This Kargil martyr's daughter has a powerful message against war between India and Pakistan

With 30 placards and not a single word, 19-year-old Gurmehar Kaur has conveyed a strong message against the atmosphere of hostility between India and Pakistan.

Daughter of Captain Mandeep Singh, killed during the Kargil War of 1999, Gurmehar Kaur's story of growing up without a father strikes a chord.

As a child, she confesses that she harboured hatred for Pakistan, the people from there as well as Muslims. When she was 6, she even tried to stab a woman in a burqa, she says.

It was then that her mother made her understand, that her father was killed by "war" and not by Pakistan.

In the video, she said that now she is a soldier just like her father - a soldier who is fighting for peace between the two nations.

She asks leaders of both the countries to come together and sort out their problems without war. "We cannot dream of becoming a first world country with third world leadership," she 'writes' in the video.

Watch the video, as this girl quite literally proves that the pen is mightier than the sword.
