Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation is a revered historic figure imbibing feelings of equality, justice and freedom. He fought selflessly armed with non-violence and Satyagraha for India's freedom.

In an interview with Movietone news, Mahatma Gandhi spoke about India's independence at his home in Borsad.

Mahatma Gandhi, who was known to be shy and averse to being photographed, gave an interview in which he speaks about India's independence, abolishing child marriage and Sati system.

Gandhi had been an avid critic of bad and autocratic governance (Westminster democracy and government).

This raises pertinent questions for the on-going Lok Sabha elections—Would he be critical of UPA's incumbent governance too?
