On Thursday, Virat Kohli, the most talked about cricketer of the moment, was bestowed with India's fourth highest civilian award, Padma Shri, by President Pranab Mukherjee.
Currently surrounded by controversy after his "no friendship with Aussie" remark, this award definitely gave Kohli a reason to smile.
The 28-year-old Delhi cricketer took to social media to express his gratitude, tweeting:
What an absolute honor and a memorable day to receive the Padma Shri award from the President of India. God's been kind.
