WATCH: All you need to know about Ram Navami communal violence in West Bengal

Clashes over Ram Navami processions continued in West Bengal for the second day as members of saffron outfits clashed with the police in various parts of the state. All of these communal clashes lead to the death of three, a senior police officer losing his hand when a bomb was hurled at him and several injured.

Sword-wielding BJP supporters defied the state government’s ban on armed rallies on Ram Navami.

Furious over the violence reported in Ram Navami rallies, CM Mamata Banerjee directed the director general of police to instruct all the superintendents of police to take strong action against those who carried arms in the rallies.

"The law will take its own course. I will not tolerate this," she said at a meeting on Monday.
