Subrata Roy to stay in jail as Supreme court rejects his bail plea

Video ThumbnailVideo Thumbnail

The Supreme Court has rejected Sahara chief Subrata Roy's bail plea. The court has challenged Roy's detention by the apex court for not refunding investors' money. The Supreme Court had earlier agreed to defreeze the bank accounts of Sahara so that the group could raise 10,000 crore rupees for securing bail to Roy. A bench of justices K S Radhakrishnan and J S Khehar in a strongly-worded judgement deprecated the attitude of Roy and the Group for not complying with its order and for showing 'demeanour of defiance'. And Subrata Roy will remain in jail until the money of investors is refunded.
