Labourer's daughter bags first prize for singing at national level Kala Utsav

Showcasing special talent a daughter of labourer from Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir bagged first prize in Solo Vocal Music Category at the National Level Kala Utsav Competition held in Bhopal. At the national competition, Khushi sang 'Himachali' folk song, which was highly appreciated by the audience and it also ensured her victory. The competition was organised by the Ministry for Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in Bhopal. Proud father also expressed happiness at her win. Speaking to ANI, Khushi said, "Through the 'Samagra scheme', initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I was able to reach the national competition. I request parents to support girls and send them for such competitions in future."
