Modi has decided on a sudden visit to Pakistan. He will land in Lahore in the afternoon and meet Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, Ruchi Kumar, an Indian journalist working in Kabul, reported that the Afghan Parliament clapped at least 55 times during Modi's speech. "No other leader has ever got such adulation", she says.
