In the first such case this year, one person has tested positive for swine flu virus and has been admitted to the JIPMER in Puducherry, officials said.
"Intensive examination of another person is on," JIPMER sources said.
The two with flu symptoms were admitted today.
Official sources said it could not be known whether these two patients were from Puducherry or from neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
JIPMER was fully prepared to handle swine flu cases, officials addded.
