There is nothing like an awakening! While everything around us is growing and flourishing, we would rather hide underneath our favourite blanket. But don’t worry, although lethargy is indeed a common phenomenon, it is not incurable. We will give you some tips on how to escape the winter rut. Our body cannot work more than a hundred per cent or more the entire year. It also needs calmer phases.

In general, we normally live a different lifestyle compared to the summer. We spend more time at home than outside amongst nature and we move less. The consequence is a body which produces more imbalances. As a result, acidification triggers mental and physical fatigue. An unbalanced nutrition makes it even more difficult for our body. Here are our tips:

Go outside: Healthy eating and walks are the best ways to prevent springtime lethargy. Light and Sun provide energy and make us awake and lively. So go outside as often as possible, whether the Sun is shining or not!

Keep on moving: If you are tired, you just want to do one thing, sleep! However, right now is the time for movement, because it promotes the release of serotonin. Furthermore, we don’t just have more energy, but also work towards a body we feel comfortable with on the beach.

Breathe fresh air: Especially in the morning, when it is so hard to get out of bed, fresh air is a fantastic stimulant. Stand by the open window, bob up and down on your toes and breathe deeply in and out for seven times — the effect of coffee and caffeine cannot keep up with that.

Treat yourself to something good: Springtime lethargy not only has a physical but also a psychological component. A concert, a good book or a meal with a friend in your favourite restaurant can make a big difference.

“Mucking” - also detoxification helps against springtime lethargy. It activates the excretory organs liver, gall bladder and kidneys, and thus supports metabolism. The substances that have been neglected in winter are scrapped.
