Director Amit Masurkar's 'Versova indie' film Sulemani Keeda that had won hearts at Mumbai film festival in 2013, is slated to be released on November 28 this year after doing the rounds of the film festivals circuit.
The film stars Naveen Kasturia (some may recognise him from his work in The Viral Fever videos) and Mayank Tewari (writer for Ragini MMS) as the writer-duo Dalal and Mainak who are trying to get a break in Bollywood. If they are not busy getting their scripts rejected by Bollywood producers, they spend their time trying to impress girls at bookshops and poetry readings. They are finally approached by a B-movie producer Gonzo Kapoor (Karan Mirchandani) to make a Tarkovsky-esque movie.
However, a smart and beautiful photographer Ruma (Aditi Vasudev) enters their life, making Dulal question what he truly loves and challenges his and Mainak's friendship.
Filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt, Anil Sharma and actress Amrita Rao also have guest appearances in the film.
The film will be released on November 28 through PVR Director’s Rare in Mumbai, NCR-Delhi, Bangalore and Pune.
