Jeff Bridges starrer fantasy saga 'Seventh Son' to hit theatres this January

Universal Pictures India is all set to pack a punch with the movie Seventh Son, their first movie to be released in New Year. Directed by Academy award nominee Sergei Bodrov, the fantasy epic boasts of a stellar star-cast bringing together the likes of Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Ben Barnes and Kit Herrington. The movie will release across Indian theaters on January 23, 2015.

Based on the novel The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch, Seventh Son follows the story of a supernatural champion named Master Gregory (Jeff Bridges) who defeated Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore), a malevolent witch. Now, she has escaped imprisonment and thirsts for vengeance. She summons her followers and prepares to unleash her wrath on humanity. Only one thing stands in her way: Master Gregory. Gregory takes Tom Ward (Ben Barnes) as his new apprentice, but he has only until the next full moon to teach Tom what usually takes years: how to prevail against dark magic.

The action epic adventure is directed by the Russian writer and filmmaker Sergei Bodrov. He is most famous for his movies like Prisoner of the Mountains and Mongol that were nominated for Best Foreign Language Film in Academy Awards. Kit Herrington who plays the role of Billy Bradley in the movie is highly popular for his role as John Snow in the TV series ‘Game of Thrones’.

Packed with a profusion of fantasy, adventure, history and action Seventh Son will hit movie screens across India on January 23, 2015.
