Review: 'Naavu namma Hendathiyaru' is a script gone haywire

Film: Naavu namma Hendathiyaru (Kannada)
Director: Seetharam Karanth
Cast: Harish Raj, Ashwini

Naavu Namma Hendathiyaru is a film that begins with a rather interesting backdrop — that of the economic recession. The story in question is a lot more domestic and real. A lack of finances can create a lot of trouble between couples. What could have become an interesting story seems destroyed, thanks to sorry excuses as jokes, and to some extent soft porn if you please.

Lead actors and the only known faces in the film, Harish Raj and Ashwini, do well, but not well enough to save the script. Director Seetharam Karanth seems to have tried hard to stress on the fact that he won the State Award for Chandramukhi Pranasakhi, by getting most of his cast to mention the same. That’s forgiven, for one might as well brag about an award that is not coming to him for this one for sure.
