The film is set in Delhi, where Riteish Deshmukh plays a waiter named Govardhan at a marina restaurant, where a hill station visit means Lonavala and where Sushmita Sen's character, Kajal, takes a helicopter to meet her mother in Pune.

But why expect logic in a David Dhawan-Govinda movie where the protagonist is an amoral adulterer, where Ranvir Shorey plays a detective in plaid suits and dead-animal wigs, Manoj Pahwa is shown battling constipation in the opening scene, and Rajpal Yadav paws the chamber maid?

You might even forgive the ridiculous facts if there were jokes to keep you engaged, or performances that had you applauding, but the overdone puns, ghastly songs and dances, and the contorted expressions of Govinda, Lara Dutta, and Rajpal Yadav make you want to jump out of your seat and run for the exit.

And what has happened to Sushmita Sen? Dressing her in shapeless sacks cannot cover up the shock of her transformation.

The thin plot revolves around a rich woman's dependent husband (Govinda) trying to hide his affair with a model (Dutta) from his overbearing wife (Sen) by employing a decoy (Deshmukh) while the suspicious wife puts a private investigator (Shorey) on his tail. It's old, old wine in an ageing, cracking bottle, and about time Dhawan-Govinda-Vashu Bhagnani realised that the No 1 era of Biwis, Coolies, and Heroes is long gone.
