Zsa Zsa Gabor back in hospital after surgery

Hollywood legend Zsa Zsa Gabor was again rushed to hospital on Friday to treat a blood clot following a recent hip replacement surgery that she underwent.

The Hungary-born actress, who has been a fixture in Hollywood films and television for decades, was taken to the University of California, Los Angeles, medical centre.

"She is resting and will be in hospital for a few days,” Gabor's publicist John Blanchette told Reuters.

Gabor, who has steadfastly refused to give her real age but is said to be well into her 90s, was partially paralysed in a 2002 car accident. She fell out of bed on July 17, broke her hip and underwent surgery.

Her recovery had been difficult, and a speedy return home was delayed because of complications that followed the initial procedure. She returned to her Bel Air mansion on Wednesday, only to return to the hospital on Friday with the blood clot.

Gabor was one of three glamorous sisters who stole the Hollywood limelight in the 1950s and 1960s, and starred in films like Moulin Rouge, Lili and Touch of Evil.

The actress has never confirmed her birth date but is thought by Hollywood journalists to have been born between 1917 and 1919.
