Filmmaker Woody Allen won the best screenplay gong for his romantic-comedy Midnight In Paris at the 69th Golden Globes award ceremony here.
The movie, featuring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates in key roles, is about a family that travels to the French capital for business.
Allen defeated other competitors -- Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist), Nat Faxon, Alexander Payne, Jim Rash (The Descendants), George Clooney, Grant Heslov, Beau Willimon (The Ides Of March), Stan Chervin, Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillian (Moneyball).
