‘Winehouse would still be alive if she’d had Blake Fielder-Civil’s baby’

Amy Winehouse would still be alive if she had had a baby with Blake Fielder-Civil, believes her ex-husband’s fiancee.

Sarah Aspin, 33, - who has an 11-week-old son, Jack, with Fielder-Civil - says the late ‘Rehab’ singer would have been a “lovely mum.”

She also accepts she probably would never have had a relationship with Fielder-Civil if he and Winehouse had had a child.

“I think if Blake and Amy had had a baby together, she’d still be alive today. She’d have been a lovely mum,” Contact music quoted her as saying in an interview with New! agazine.

“Maybe I wouldn’t [be with Blake if they had a child of their own], but if I thought she’d still be alive, I’d have compromised my happiness to save her,” she stated.

Blake refused Winehouse’s request to visit him in prison where he is serving 32 months for burglary and possessing an imitation firearm not long before she died, and Sarah says he will regret it forever.

“Blake and I had been together for two years, but there was always three of us in the relationship,” Aspin revealed.

“They spoke for the last time a few days before she died. She asked if she could visit him and he said no. He said he didn’t want to upset me.

“He refused because of me and Jack. Since having the baby, I think he’s realised how much he loves me and he knows it would have hurt me if she’d visited.

“I think he does regret it now. If he’d known she was that sick, he would’ve said yes. And I’d have allowed it. So I’d say there’s deep regret,” she added.
