Will Sandeep Soparkar perform in London?

A date, April 29 would have been a day to remember for choreographer Sandeep Soparkar and wife Jesse Randhawa, but looks like a rehearsal performance might have just played spoilsport. Soparkar, who was all set to perform at the royal reception of Britan’s Prince William and Kate Middleton in Buckingham Palace, London, with wife, is now skeptical about going, all thanks to a knee injury. The duo was rehearsing for the grand event when Soparkar missed a step and fell down a flight of stairs, injuring his knee badly. Naturally, the choreographer is distressed and sounded low while he spoke to After Hrs. “I had a nasty fall on Monday evening and I have been in pain ever since. The injury has aggravated since then and now my knee has swollen to three times its actual size. The doctors are saying that it is quite bad, as my muscles are bleeding. Right now I am on heavy medication and am managing with painkillers and a whole lot of medicines. But I don’t know what next.”

His knee is apparently in such a bad state that Soparkar’s doctors are advising him to go for surgery if the medications do not show any effect soon. “If the swelling does not subside, then I’ll have to undergo a surgery. I am hoping the medicines work because I don’t want to get my knee operated upon. It will take a lot of time to heal and create problems while dancing since I may not be able to bend my knee often. I’m really praying that I don’t have to
undergo surgery.” At the time of going to the press, Soparkar was still undecided as to whether  he would be performing at the wedding reception.
