Who will roar tonight?

Will it be the Lankan lions or Dhoni’s daredevils? B-Town wants a light blue answer — they are cheering for India with all they have got.

Who will roar tonight?

It was a strange scene at the Bachchan khandaan on the night of the semi-finals. Papa Amitabh Bachchan was trying to keep himself busy with ‘something’, trying hard to resist the temptation of sitting in front of a TV set while son Abhishek Bachchans’s duty was to update his father about the latest score. Yes, the finals between India and Sri Lanka will see a re-run of the same.

“I am proud the way India snatched the win at the World Cup semi finals. It was such a thrilling match to win! I couldn’t move from my seat when India was playing even during the slog overs. I would love to be at the Wankhede for the finals, but let’s see if I will be able make it because I am also caught up with film promotions,” says Abhishek.

Abhishek admits that Amitabh will never watch the finals, come what may. “It was funny when the match was on because dad was sitting on one corner of the house because he didn’t want to see the match. He has this superstition that if he sees India play then India is going to lose. So, he was nowhere near the TV set. We all celebrated when India finally won the match and of course, I am looking forward to the bigger celebrations when India wins the World Cup. The boys will win. Go India go!” he exclaims.

Actor Akshay Kumar feels that Dhoni and his boys have done something tremendous. “I pray that India wins this World Cup. It was a thrilling tournament till now and the way the boys played the last match has pepped up the whole nation. The boys are also charged up I am sure after snatching such a win against Pakistan. I have already said that the no actor in India will ever be able to do what the Indian players have done. This is the moment for the players to create history and I am sure we will! My prayers and best wishes are always there for the team India players…” he says.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is getting special tees done for him and his children to cheer India at Mohali. “I have this jersey (specially made for him) but I think I will have to order a couple of them more for me and my children for the finals,” says Shah Rukh. He would be watching Team India take on Sri Lanka in the finals at Wankhede.

Actress Sushmita Sen also feels that India will rock at the finals, “So proud of India (for the last win)! Truly played like World Cup winners! We are ready Sri Lanka! Bring it on!” she says.
