Who’s the bigger Twit?

Over the past few days cyberspace was witness to Shashi Tharoor and Lalit Modi’s war of words. But believe it or not, Bollywood too is not far behind when it comes to Twitter gaffes.
Shah Rukh Khan has close to 2.84 lakh plus followers on his Twitter account. He recently tweeted that he would dance naked if his team won.

When some of his followers responded adversely, Shah Rukh re-tweeted, “Doesn’t anyone take a joke anymore? Read in some paper that I can be taken to court for my dancing in the buff statement at IPL. When will people develop a sense of humour?”
Well, if Shah Rukh faced flak from his fans, then actor Mallika Sherawat earned flak from her own brother Vikram Lamba after she flashed her tiny bikini on Twitter.

“Vikram became aware of the bikini that Mallika was supposed to wear in a movie (made out of fig leaves) because Mallika had posted the photo on her Twitter page. After seeing the photo, he decided to march on to the sets where Mallika was shooting and demanded that his sister not shoot in that bikini. After the film-makers failed to convince him, Mallika tried to reason with her brother but to no effect. The bikini scene had to be replaced,” says a source.

Another actor who recently earned the ire of his director Kunal Desmukh because of his Twitter posts is Emraan Hashmi. The incident happened when the actor inadvertently ‘leaked’ a few exclusive stills of his forthcoming movie on his Twitter page. The stills, according to Kunal, gave away much of the storyline to ‘tweeple’.

“We had an entire marketing plan to release these visuals. Otherwise, it would have been just another music release party,” Kunal said at that time.
