Where is Chitrangda Singh?

The promotions for Rohit Dhavan’s directorial debut, Desi Boyz have begun in full swing and the first step in the marketing strategy is releasing the posters. While there are two posters with actors John Abraham and Akshay Kumar in shorts, actress Deepika Padukone who is missing in the first poster features in the second one. Along with Deepika, actress Chitrangda Singh too is playing a parallel lead and it is quite surprising that the lady is missing from both the posters.

Chitrangda plays an absolutely different role in the film, much different from anything that she has played till date and the reason for her absence is being given as guarding her look. A source from the sets says, “Chitrangda has gone all out in the film and will be seen playing an extremely sensuous role. She has even done an extremely racy salsa number in the film and you have to see it to really believe it. She looks gorgeous, but the production guys made sure nobody was around while the number was being shot. They didn’t want her look to be leaked out and took all necessary measures.”

Rohit too says that she doesn’t feature in the posters only because she plays the surprise element in the film. “Chitrangda comes at a very important junction in the film. No one would expect an entry in that situation. I want to maintain the intrigue value and surprise element even in the teaser posters.”

While it does seem like they are guarding her look, it won’t come as a surprise to us if there is some controversy involved, especially because there are two actresses in question here. Well, all we would say is wait and watch.
